About Me

At a Glance
I am a junior studying Broadcast and Digital Journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
I'm a storyteller at heart, whether that's behind a camera, in a newsroom, or crafting a campaign. I'm drawn to the intersection of media, marketing, and public relations. I'm always looking for the next story worth telling.
I am incredibly hardworking, determined, and strive for excellence in everything I do. I love to learn and am always willing to try new things. My authenticity shines through my work, and I am committed to delivering the best results.
This Summer
I packed my bags in early May and moved to Boston to intern at 617MediaGroup on the Partnership Development & Marketing team and also Client Services.
Sophomore Year Involvement
CitrusTV
CitrusTV, Syracuse's entirely student-run TV organization, has allowed me to grow as both a journalist and storyteller. In the fall semester, I worked as a Weather Anchor. A role that helped me build confidence on camera and develop a strong on-air personality.
In the spring, I stepped behind the camera and immersed myself in the writing and production side of news. As Executive Producer of CitrusTV NOW, the station's 5-minute preview show to News Live at 6, I was in full control of every decision. I picked and wrote stories, built the rundown, created live graphics, managed timing, and handled breaking news in real time.
Alongside this, as Digital Assistant, I coordinated with reporters and social media teams to publish daily Instagram content and web articles, copy-editing with a sharp eye for AP Style and grammar errors.
SU Athletic Communications
My passion for sports led me to pursue a position as a Syracuse University Athletic Communications Intern. Throughout the year I assisted with game-day operations, media relations, and behind-the-scenes work across football, basketball, women's volleyball, women's soccer, and more.
In the spring semester, I took on greater responsibility, and wrote game day previews and recaps for cuse.com, created visually engaging social media content, and continued to work on game notes, roster cards, speed cards, depth charts, and credentials.
Globe Life National Income Division: Moore Organization
During the summer, I worked as a Social Media and Brand Manager for CEO Nick Moore. I created a content calendar, produced videos for company events, and once the school year began, attended meetings on Nick's behalf, supporting the brand-building decisions, and coordinated social media strategy. I managed his 19,000 followers across Instagram and Facebook.
Networking
While networking is not a formal extracurricular at Syracuse University, I made it one. Leaning into my curiosity, I spent the year connecting with nearly 100 professionals in the Boston market, learning from people doing exactly what I hope to do after graduation.
Academics
I finished my sophomore year strong, closing the fall semester with a 3.94 GPA and the spring with a perfect 4.0! My Newhouse coursework pushed me to grow across every area of journalism. In the fall, Cross-Media News Writing sharpened my understanding of broadcast and online writing styles, news values, and journalistic ethics. Foundations of Data and Digital Journalism introduced me to web presentation and data visualization, and I built my own website using HTML and CSS. Still Photography for Broadcast Journalism gave me a keen eye for composition and lighting that I now apply directly to my broadcast work.
In the spring, my Audio and Digital News Writing, Reporting, and Producing class challenged me to report outside the classroom, write on strict deadlines, and cut scripts down to only what matters. Video for Broadcast deepened my visual storytelling skills, emphasizing composition and writing to the eye. I also began my Sport Management minor, completing a semester-long NIL marketing deck for a Syracuse athlete and earning two certifications through the Mimik simulator and NIL case studies.
Freshman Year Involvement
When I first stepped onto campus, I had zero experience in my selected major. I was surrounded by students who had school newspapers or broadcast outlets, but growing up in Syracuse, I went to a very small high school where media outlets were nonexistent. Instead of looking at my lack of experience as a disadvantage, I grew determined to acquire any experience that was available to me. My freshman year recap is as follows:
CitrusTV
During my first semester, I frequently worked in the station to run crew positions. I learned how to run a camera, graphics, VTR, and audio.
Second semester, I started my role as a Day Reporter. My first taste of reporting and broadcasting began here. Each week, I pitched a story at our Sunday meetings to report on for the Tuesday show. I would reach out to conduct interviews, record b-roll, edit the packages on Premiere, add graphics on Avid, and go live in the studio. All of which was done weekly!
I also worked as an Associate Producer on our Saturday morning show, Juice and Java. As an AP, I arrived at the station at 9 a.m. to help write stories for the day.
WAER Sports Radio
Following my passion for sports, I immediately joined WAER Sports Radio. I went to the station at 5 a.m. to produce a weekly 1-minute and 45-second sports cast updating Central New York on Syracuse Athletics and New York professional sports. I learned how to script and voice casts for radio!
Syracuse Men’s Club Lacrosse
I worked hand in hand with the Director of Communications as Social Media Manager. I created engaging and shareable content for games and practices to boost engagement across Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube. I managed over 3,000 followers across platforms, including starting the TikTok page. At the games, I managed live event streams, curated, and published real-time social media updates.
Academics
I ended my freshman year with a cumulative GPA of 3.87. The Newhouse classes that I took included Communication and Society, Multimedia Storytelling, and Public Relations Principles and Practice, which deepened my skills in video editing, storytelling, and media strategy.
